LETTER FROM THE SECRETARIAT OF STATE (HOLY SEE), 27 MAY 2013

(excerpt) I am writing on behalf of the Holy Father to thank you for the offering of $4,100 forwarded …as Peter’s Pence from Saint Joseph Parish.
His Holiness very much appreciates this charitable donation and the sacrifices which it entailed.  Your gift not only assists him in his universal pastoral ministry but also witnesses your communion in faith and love with the Successor of Peter.
As a pledge of joy and peace in our Lord Jesus Christ, the Holy Father cordially imparts his Apostolic Blessing to all the faithful of the Parish. (emphasis added)
